Plenty of underclassmen are unaware of the requirements for most college applications. Juniors this is your time to start figuring out what it takes to prepare for applications and know how. Many seniors in this school have a lot of different experiences applying, and trying to get into colleges, Here is what some seniors who have that experience have to say.

1.) How did you begin the process of applying for schools?  Ashley Brouer, a senior, said “I looked up schools that were affordable and that were going to help me succeed in my career later in life.”

Another student, Ariana Lidtke stated “My mom really

made me get started looking for schools, then I began really finding schools I was interested in.”

2) What are some requirements for college applications? Karon Greer Said ” You really need to make sure your grades are good all 4 years you’re at Chippewa, especially junior and senior year.” Lidtke was stating how she made sure her grades were good but also extra curricular actives

and clubs, Lidtke said ” i made sure i had plenty of variety on my applications in my extracurricular activities

3) How did you prepare for the application process? Greer stated he had a lot of help from teachers  stating, “I really didn’t know what I was doing until Mr. Merchant helped me. Once i knew what I was doing, it wasn’t hard at all”

Brouer continued, ” I was prepared to write the essays and I knew that my SAT score needed to be good along with my grades.”

4) Are you ready for college? Lidtke said, ” No not at all.”

Greer said ” Yes i`m very ready!” and Brouer finished by saying,” Yes I think so, like everything I`ll adapt but it will definitely be different.”

There you have it, three very experienced students in applying for college. They all assured us that applying for college isn’t that hard or scary, just be prepared and be responsible with time and your grades. If you want to go to college ask yourself, “Am I prepared?”  Are you doing what colleges require for going to their school? Good luck to all seniors during this application season.
