The Tomahawk

Ranaya Gilliam
Ranaya Gilliam is currently a junior and is eagerly looking forward to her first year of writing for The Tomahawk as a staff writer and as a copy editor. She wrote for her middle school’s newspaper for 2 years and instantly fell in love with journalism. Gilliam also writes poetry and short stories on her free time. Her favorite articles to write are spotlights because she loves to interview people to learn someone’s story and spread light on a topic that most people don’t talk about.

Gilliam has also been apart of the band program for the past 6 years and has a passion for music. She likes to hang out with friends, watch movies, and play with her dog, Jackson, when she’s not practicing her music or working on an article.
